Galaxy Z Fold
The future unfolds. Big screen. Bigger impact. Unfold more.

Project overview
Galaxy Z Fold is an independent product-film concept built around a single transformation: a familiar city street becomes the stage for a foldable device at impossible scale. Rather than presenting the phone as hardware in isolation, the film turns the act of unfolding into the event itself, translating a larger screen and expanded possibility into a simple visual spectacle.

The Idea
The device appears between high-rise buildings as though it has become part of the architecture. Moving traffic establishes real-world scale, while the open phone reveals a luminous coastal world inside its display. The contrast makes the product benefit immediate: a compact object opens into something expansive.
The Process
I conceived the concept, developed the visual direction and key story beats, then built the film through a hybrid AI and motion-design workflow. Generative tools helped create and explore source material, while the final composition depended on deliberate direction, iteration, animation, and hands-on post-production.
01 — Concept & Visual Development
Defined the central transformation, urban scale, camera framing, phone proportions, and the relationship between the real-world environment and the world inside the display.
02 — AI-Assisted Production
Developed and refined source imagery through directed generative workflows, repeatedly correcting scale, perspective, product form, and environmental continuity rather than accepting first-pass outputs.
03 — Motion & Finish
Controlled the unfolding action so the phone opens from one side with its spine anchored, then integrated the device through motion design, compositing, timing, color, and final polish.
AI was used as a production tool within a directed creative process, not as a substitute for concept, design judgment, animation, or finishing.
